I don't know that I have ever seen a good explanation why pre- and asymptomatic cases of COVID were never pursued like symptomatic cases were.
Hospitals still pushing hand sanitizer and symptom screening are missing the point. COVID is airborne and often spreads asymptomatically. Requiring masks only after an outbreak and only in affected units is gross negligence. This isn’t just poor policy, it’s a betrayal of medicine.
