what gets me about the "AI is the future" argument, when i hear it in my occult communities, is
the entire premise of occultism is that we co-create the future
when the billionaires dump the slop onto our plate we do NOT have to eat it. we get a voice in the future; we can decide to say no.

a required skill for being able to use an LLM in any professional capacity is discernment, essentially already being an expert in the field so you know when (and why) its outputs are incorrect.
