OK, so the thing that has me wondering here, is that Cohen was testifying against Trump here. By having Plaskett ask Cohen for names of Trump associates, Epstein was helping her attack Trump. So does this mean Epstein and Trump had definitely split at that point? Or was that a red herring?
Jeffrey Epstein appeared to text with Del. Stacey Plaskett (D-Virgin Islands) during Michael Cohen's 2019 congressional hearing and may have influenced her questions.

Text message time-stamp match up with hearing video reviewed by The Washington Post.

I am not quite radicalized to the point that I print this on my Xmas cards with the message ‘thinking of all those who cannot be with their families this holiday season, because they’re in ICE detention’

But I’m not far from it.

Like, the state is in fact allowed to post real death threats on social media, this is much of the purpose of having a state. What is notable is that this power is being used informally and without the normal rituals used to legitimize the state, so your brain flags it as ToS violating content.

This is in fact how the state having a monopoly on violence works but normally the state isn't supposed to Post about it like they're the Navy Seal copypasta guy.
“The government is allowed to post real death threats on social media but you’re not allowed to post sarcastic death threats on social media” is actually a pretty apt distillation of power and violence

Zeteo has made a searchable database of all new 26,000 files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Despite Trump saying this is a scam with "all arrows pointing to the Democrats," these have a whole lot of Trump in there. In fact, he's mentioned in these more than anyone else.

Take a look for yourself:
Zeteo Scoured 26,000 Epstein Docs. Here’s What We Found
You can search and review the emails here. Read what Epstein said about Trump, and his emails with Peter Thiel, Steve Bannon, Ehud Barak, and Larry Summers.

Probably an unpopular opinion but “don’t type death threats even jokingly, yes that means you” seems to be one of the few real Bluesky rules and not something I personally struggle with.

I dream of a day when corporations have to reapply for every tax break, contract, and grant every six months, with a requirement that it is the CEO who must complete the paperwork, and attest under penalty of law that they personally did so.
The shutdown was an excuse, not a reason, to go after SNAP.

SNAP recipients have to re-apply either every 6 months or year. Onerous process, with almost no fraud.

There are no shutdown-related requirement for SNAP renewal. But it would predictably result in low-income families going hungry.
Brooke Rollins says on Newsmax SNAP participants will have to re-apply for the program.

Details are still unclear.

Let’s be clear: This has NOTHING to do with the shutdown. SNAP already has strict renewal rules and almost NO fraud.

Forcing millions to reapply is a deliberate effort to shrink the program and leave families hungry.

It’s bullshit. It’s cruel. And it’s indefensible.

Scoop: The Trump administration is planning a policy change that could make it harder for immigrants to get green cards and other approvals if they are from countries subject to the president’s travel ban, according to internal documents.

As the article notes, states already have people recertify regularly. This is not aimed at fraud. This is aimed at punishing people who are on SNAP for being poor and kicking as many otherwise eligible people off the program as they can.

The cruelty is indeed the point.
