This is a super cool thread that demonstrates localization choices across several languages. The different fonts and alphabets used, approaches to sound effects. My favorite sound effect replacement is the Korean version. They did a phenomenal job matching Horikoshi's style.

Sometimes the job of an English manga letter is to make just slight adjustments to what's already there. Sometimes those small adjustments like adding one letter are pretty involved because the text is on a gradient screen tone.

Very few visual changes occur in the 2008 remaster of Utena. The bodies in the coffins. The full screen stab sequence. Neither being new animation, per se. One thing we did catch though, is that Shiori's expression after Ruka says she's talented at ad libs:

The first English volume of The Barbarian's Bride came out on 15th October, published by Seven Seas Entertainment!
This was the first series I ever worked on, so it's fitting that it's now my first printed credit🥰
