Man. I've got 2 of these accounts, one for books and one for work. My books one gives me anxiety about the country/world, my work one gives me anxiety about my city/state. I just need to stay off the internet I guess.

Anyone who is SURPRISED by Trump Tariffs was deluding themselves. This wasn’t like the Project 2025 stuff that he disclaimed.

He talked about these over and over and over again.
Bill Ackman freaking out about tariffs and saying "this isn't what we voted for" is as clear a crystallization of conservative self-delusion as you could ever ask for. Yes it is you idiot, you voted specifically for this! He talked about this NON STOP

I don’t repost the NYT anymore but if you looked at an American flag made entirely of Black men split down the middle and didn’t get “the larger statement”, that is a skills issue that lies with you, not with Kendrick Lamar. What absolute trash.

I have wondered if the New York Times has been acting as handmaidens of fascism because the paper's leaders find it appealing, but now I'm wondering how many people with prominent positions there are just genuinely stupid.

I'm trying to collect my favorites in print for **reasons** and not enough authors sell direct from their own websites. (Yes, ill order through bookshop, I know)

Looking for a good history (upper elem, world hist) podcast for kids- i know they aren't getting enough relevant history instruction at school (I work there, don't @ me) and I'm worried they won't see things like **gestures around** coming when they are adults. #podcast #history #education

Elon Musk—an unelected billionaire with a long list of conflicts of interest and deep ties to China—is hijacking our nation's checkbook so he can block funds that help the American people.

It's corrupt—and it's putting our economy & the most at-risk communities in jeopardy.

President Trump's DOE has made themselves clear: they will support book banners in their efforts to strip our institutions of learning of the books that define them.

So let us be perfectly clear: we're going to do whatever we can to try and stop them.
