I’m petrified about today’s science news. Genetically modifying crabs to have cheetah genes? This could go sideways fast.

This perfectly distils how I feel about so many “liberal” hot takes right now.
the only crime jack believes in is hypocrisy and the only way he thinks you can avoid it is to assiduously avoid doing anything at all. his gravestone will be blank

I’m not a Zuckerberg fan by any stretch, but this doesn’t add up. No one has to enter into ‘various agreements’ with the government to launch a website.
This might sound strange @maitlis.bsky.social but I'll say it anyway. I was stood next to Zuckerberg when he was signing up the paperwork to start Facebook. To start the company he had to sign various agreements with the U.S. Govt that would allow them to have access to any part of Facebook.
‘For all this talk of freedom of speech, Zuckerberg clearly doesn't have any when it comes to deciding what he wants to do with his own platform.’

One reason that James Dyson is so angry could be that he bought 36,000 acres of British farmland with a view to saving roughly £100 million in inheritance tax. Curiously The Times’ news article fails to mention this. 🤔
