The baseball and soccer clips in the Vision Pro demo were the biggest wow moments for me. Sitting “court side” for a whole game sounds absolutely delightful.

In some rational world, this buck stops at Doug Ford.

This is Ontario though, where not much matters.
An owner that denies problems. An operator that has no ability to fix problems. And a maintainer that just doesn’t respond to questions. Doesn’t seem like a great way to run a railroad. www.thestar.com/news/gta/why...

There is a tremendous opportunity for a brand new generation of media outlets to rise up right now because many news outlets that spent decades painstakingly building their credibility are seeing it torched by bootlickers with incredible speed.

Important thread on the reality that "Debate me!" is always cringe and useless but it can also be downright dangerous.
I’m laid up with the flu, but I had to peek my head out and say that this is *so* much worse than it seems.

And it’s already pretty fucking bad!

EVERY house we looked at in altadena had a high fire risk, so we looked and bought in Pasadena even though there was less inventory. EVERY house i looked at in Altadena burned in Eaton, four weeks after we closed. Eaton missed our house by five blocks.

the risk rating worked. shame it’s gone.
Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

Don't look up!

Canada made weird tv shows because it was all being done with government funded art grant money so they fell in this wacky middle ground between “shoestring budget” and “no expectation to generate shareholder value” which is really the best way to make art

We warned you that self-driving cars would just create self-driving traffic jams, and here they are.

The car industry has no solution to the shortage of space in cities. Public transit, cycling, and walking are all part of the answer, but cars are not.

Possibly queued for a Billie Eilish show at Chase Center ~half mile away.

The light rail train on 4th seen passing in front of this roboherd has more passenger capacity than all of them combined.

I’ve had 25 medical appointments over the last six months and I’m mostly totally fine, just over 40. While I have no shortage of issues with the current state of our country and province, I do appreciate this sort of (near) free preventative care is (mostly) accessible.
