I am extremely skeptical of the narrative that Netanyahu last-minute pushed Trump to postpone the strikes.

It appears to serve the purpose of preventing the diverging interests of the US and Israel from coming to light. Sustain an appearance that Trump and Netanyahu are on the exact same page.
