Any Animal Crossing New Horizons folk out there give me some ideas for my build?
I have Nook's Cranny and Able Sisters next to each other. Made a petrol station in front of NC and a little sewing area with AS but I have bags of space left.
Thoughts? Ideas? Theme: English farming village.

I would simply leave it as it is or I would never be able to use it.

What's the point of me sorting out the recycling ever so carefully if billionaires can do this, shrug, and say "never mind"?

Pretty much everyday:

Dog days of spring.
So dry and warm and very unseasonably summer-like here so far. There's been rain all around, apparently, but none here where it usually falls.
It's uncanny and I don't like it and I'm having to water the garden myself (from a can using collected rainwater).
Yay climate change!

Remember to stop and smell the flowers occasionally.

Or in my dog's case, smell the pee from other dogs on the flowers.

Either way ...

In the UK you can dial 159 and say the name of your bank and it will put you through. No need to remember any other number.
It's legit. My dad had to use it this week due to falling for an online scam.
You receive a call on your phone.

The caller says they're from your bank and they're calling about a suspected fraudulent payment.

"Oh yeah," you think. Obvious scam, right?

The caller says "I'll send you an in-app notification to prove I'm calling from your bank."

This is fascinating. Could that be a kick wheel she's shown using?
It's really interesting she's depicted with just her workers dress apron on, no sleeves or stockings and hair half up.
Just loving this random image I stumbled upon.
A female potter.
Her finished work is on the shelf next to her and she's using a little object to draw lines into the clay.

The Ambras castle Hofaemterspiel (Court-office Game), ca 1455.

My squealing is so high pitched it can only be heard by bats.
This is Autumn. She was born without one paw. Gets along just fine with three, but still sometimes uses a prosthetic leg when she wants to blend in. 13/10

A very serious (and excellent) place needs a very silly (and excellent book. With an equally silly bookmark.
Thank you @alicefraser.bsky.social for keeping company during yet more trying times.

I'm trying to sort the garden out (again) and aiming for 15 minutes a day.

Half-arsed is better than no-arsed!
Have you reached the point where literally anything is better than marinating in the constant horrors of current existence by doomscrolling through bad news all day?

Good news! Taking a few minutes to do some dishes, pick up some clutter, or put away laundry qualifies as literally anything!

News flash: hippos are jacked.

(Read the rest of the thread, it's amazing)
Additionally, hippos - despite being massive - have almost no fat on them. All of that impressive bulk is muscle.

2% body fat. Compare that to Elephants, which are around 8-10%, or rhinos, which are 10-20%.

The average human is around 20-40%, for reference.

They're *all* muscle.

Please, I'm begging you, if you're going to dunk on someone post a screenshot, don't quote reply. I already have a lot of wankers on here blocked so I get none of the context.
Thank you kindly in anticipation.

100%
I am so isolated, geographically and physically, from anyone I would call a friend that I have to use social media to stay in touch.
If you can just drop SM and not look back that means you have an in-person social network. Good for you. I don't.
Unless you’re disabled or chronically ill and isolated from a society that makes every in-person human interaction a risk to your life then you don’t get to lecture me about which social media I should quit because your “moral high ground” demands I become even more lonely and alone.

Doomscroll rest point.

Very happy dog in the sunshine. Three and a half years ago she'd hardly ever been walked in her life up to that point and was scared of everything. Look at her now.

She's only scared of half of the things!

It's not too late to start regularly masking in public again if you stopped.
I never stopped wearing them on public transport, in hospitals and in shops.
Bird flu is about to hit, hard. Mask up y'all. It's our main protection.
