But of course X is more relevant. Bluesky only has about 1 million users any given day, according to this dashboard bsky.jazco.dev/stats
The platform formerly known as Twitter may be horrible, but it is still shaping policy. So were we all wrong to leave?
Was the left wrong to leave X for BlueSky?

I think Falcom's Trails in the Sky remake might be pretty transformative.
- Peak CCU in Steam about 6x prior one
- Leading Switch 2 digital sales in JP, showing up in the ranking elsewhere
- Playstation store number of reviews already above all post 2020 entries in the series

All right, what are the worst song lyrics you've ever heard?

I get where this thread comes from, but IMHO this would result in more layoffs.

Remember how prevalent piracy was, and how many games you and your friends used to have back in those days.
I have no patience for this. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time retailed for $59.95 in November, 1998. That's $117.27 today.

You're dramatically underpaying for games right now. In fact, AAA studios are killing themselves with big bet live-service disasters and microtransactions to cover costs.

So right and yet... we should also remember the piracy rates back then and that we did get a lot less games released (and bought).
I've received 100+ replies like this, claiming game revenue goes directly to executives & shareholders. So I checked & made this chart.

This is what happens when you buy a $69.99 game from EA, the company with the WORST reputation in the industry.

0.8% goes to c-suite. 53% goes to devs & workers.

Balatro has 104 people credited on mobygames. Initial reddit post is dishonest and plain wrong on several aspects. Having seen in early 2021 what Guillaume, Tom & François did with a couple of friends (game was called « We Lost » then and was already stunning)…

A few weeks ago I published an anime sector guide for investors. If you are new to the space and are interested, have a look!

It covers:
• Diferent roles in the sector

@specialsitinvestor.bsky.social since you have been talking about FEC... the bond seems quite interesting to me as well.

PlayWay presented results recently, and there is a lot to breakdown on them. You have the full version on Dungeon Investing. But why is it interesting?
• Record results, both operationally (+15% YoY) and attributable to shareholders (+59% YoY)
• Record dividend (7% yield)
PlayWay annual results update
Record results, but record enough?

@appinvestor.bsky.social you know... at this price, at this time... think I am finally going to bite in Drecom, although not in size.

I see Commodus just declared victory in Germania.

Yup. Tons of good games going around unnoticed.
there's always, always some unexpected hit game with a lot of resources behind it that gamers want to create confirmation bias narratives of success and be like "just make a good game" about, from Disco Elysium to Clair Obscur. one of the most perpetually irritating aspects of the game sphere

Tabletop gaming is among the sectors that are going to be hit the hardest (I assume this is about tabletop and not videogames).

Everyone (well almost) builds in China.

Videogame companies are right now very happy Trump is so old.

Less than one month after announcing it, and days before the date, Sonic Rumble is delayed again.

Activists involved in Square Enix... well, look, if any company needs an activists, it is this one (their costs are bloated all around), but I don't remember a successful activist case in the industry.

#GAW US out of stock up again... and Europe too. For the first time, similar levels (close to 40% out of stock percentage) in both places for 40k.

Tariffs or no tariffs, this keeps moving.

Re: #TBLD

Results are bad, as expected, and include big development costs impairment (related with H2 releases performance).

But the structural costs have gone down a lot. I was a bit surprised by the ramp-up in development investments (see cash), but as 3 big games near completion, makes sense.

Weird move. Given the backlog, I doubt Boeing will have trouble shifting those to other orders.

#GAW Haven't been posting this of late, but kept tracking it. Looks better in the US... but looks like now Europe is the place with more lack of stock.

Methinks someone redirected too many boxes.

Also, importyeti doesn't look exceptional for march, still think they are using more air freight
