The Trump admin has now fired all of its staff and it will now likely shut down (or maybe turned into a Trump-friendly site pushing falsehoods about climate) www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

If you can't protest tomorrow, you can do other things:
- call your reps
- donate to orgs like the ACLU, Indivisible, etc
- be protest support (be the one people call if they're arrested, offer water/first aid, etc)
- write an op-ed for your local paper

...and so much more. We can all contribute!

The Citizens United decision gave billionaires, corporations, and Wall Street executives a way to buy access, influence, and favorable policy decisions.

We must #EndCitizensUnited.

I want us to study the history of resistance to slave catchers right now. I want us to study how slave catchers worked, how they were sanctioned, who paid them, and why they did what they did, right now. I want us to study the hyperlocal and networked ways slave catchers were impeded. Right now.

When I was in the USAF and had a TS Clearance I almost went to prison for 5 years for being a threat to national security because I was gay. Didn't disclose secrets, didn't do anything. Just EXISTED. Yet these fools just breached our national security and it's "just another day at the office."

A) use sunlight to drive photosynthesis in plants, let plants die, wait ~100 million years, dig up fossilized plants, burn plants, use heat to boil water, use steam to drive a rotating turbine, use generator to make electrons

B) use sunlight to make electrons

- Stuff gets hot (worse heatwaves)
- Hot air holds more water vapor (heavier rainfall)
- Hot air is thirstier air (higher drought risk)
- Warm water is hurricane food (stronger storms)
- Hot water expands and hot ice melts (sea level rise)
