Great analogy as covid is still well underway & the general public has largely given up taking any precautions.
I have been involved in markets for over 25 years and I never seen a self induced decline like this. We gave ourselves covid on purpose

I have a ton of tests if anyone around KC needs them.
This COVID outbreak is no joke, gang. Lots of folks turning up positive. Time to

* Get that new Vax if you can

* Stock up on masks

* Stock up on COVID tests - they are selling out

* Make a battle plan to take care of yourself if you need to quarantine

* Avoid larger events if you are vulnerable

Turning "out of office" notifications on heading into a week-long vacation is the closest I've felt to "schools out for summer" vibes in a long time.

There's one lie in this post. Comment below when you find it.

1. Cov!d can spread outdoors.
2. Each C19 infection increases the risk of long cov!d.
3. There is no cure for long cov!d.
4. Masking is an effective mitigation tool.

Public health has failed so many of us.
My nurse just said she would close the door to my room so I could take my mask off. Several nurses have just been in here, unmasked.

This is where we are.

In 5 years, long covid has surpassed asthma as the most common chronic illness among children in the US.

The only way to avoid long covid is to avoid catching covid.

Masks lower your instance of illness.

These are facts.

Cognitive dissonance & denial are kicking people’s ass.

You lying about Covid being over by talking about Covid in the past tense while we are in an *ongoing* Covid pandemic is EXACTLY WHY THEY ARE ABLE TO CUT FUNDING. Jesus Christ. Stop with the denialism and look in the mirror. Comments like this are the entire problem! Covid didn’t magically disappear
This very bad thing happened that killed a lot of people a few years ago yet stopping it from happening again isn’t remotely part of the public / political conversation. Barmy.
