replies felt weirdly discouraged on twitter (at least to me) but I really recommend getting back into the habit of telling artists directly when you like their stuff. not even in an engagement farming way, it just feels nice. nobody's day is going to be worse hearing that you like their work

Ohayou Bluesky. It’s cloudy here. Let me tell you about another trend among Japanese artists. They're moving to Xfolio from pixiv nowadays. Xfolio clearly says they ban all of genAI images, while pixiv is pro-AI. Many AIbros have tried to spam Xfolio, but they have been swept off into the dustbox.

Because the new COVID vaccine is out and someone asked me for a reminder: it's 50mg diphenhydramine 15m before the shot or 20mg cetirizine 2-3 hours before (if you have MCAS add an extra 20mg famotidine + 10mg montelukast (if taking) when you take the others) to avoid feeling like death

I'm a Patreon ambassador. Please believe me when I say that Patreon as a company is not happy about this, Patreon creators are not happy about this, and Patreon members are not happy about this. This is PURELY Apple being a monopoly extracting as much profit as it can. We're horrified.
Patreon already takes ~10% from all of the money you make through them, this 30% free for iOS App Store subscriptions is going to make that completely unsustainable. Who can even afford to pay 30% more for something right now???

Not much we can do in regards to the recent Patreon and Apple developments, but I believe in one simple form of protest anyone with the iOS app can join:
Uninstall the app.
The team keeps re-iterating how much usage and engagement the app is getting. That's why they want to keep it. Uninstall it
