Funny thing about democrats, there’s always a “bigger fight” in the distance that they’ll definitely get to, just send them $10, vote blue no matter who unless they’re progressive, and widen the tent unless it includes trans people.
But there are real dangers out there that must be fought; and energy spent fighting each other is energy lost to that bigger fight.

About 6 years ago I was walking in my neighborhood in Brooklyn talking to my wife and I accidentally shoulder-checked an old man, nearly knocking him to the ground. I realized it was Chuck Schumer and apologized. Every day since I have felt less bad about wrecking his shit.

Had a sad local election night so I’m glad Mamdani embarrassed Cuomo AGAIN. Honestly, let’s just do that like every 3 months so we can all feel a bit better.

dissatisfied by the New York Times coverage of Zohran Mamdani?
great news! I talked to the guy Thursday about his campaign’s success at bringing community together beyond this election, and contextualized how it’s potentially shifted youth engagement with politics by simply listening @teenvogue.com

Zohran Mamdani's Establishment-Fighting Campaign Built Community for Young People
“What Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”

Spent a lot of time telling people what the movie Popstar was but honestly, what a gift for them. Everyone knew my wife’s American Girl Doll costume, which is also a gift.

Why are young people attempting to find small joy in moments of despair? Why aren't they conscripted to the mines, forever entombed in a world of darkness? Why must they yearn?
“At the same time, more than half of Gen Z members say they are struggling to make ends meet, yet a majority buy themselves a small treat, such as a pastry, coffee, or sweet, at least once a week. That can lead to overspending…”

It’s funny that when republicans want go back to “common sense” they actually mean “we want to be able to be bigots in public”.

This is something that's in the first 10 minutes of a Final Destination movie where a soccer ball is kicked into a light that falls and hits a cable that snaps and starts a chain reaction to bring the whole thing down.

The fact that nearly everyone on the planet feels compelled to be making some form of “content” all the time has to be catastrophic for every part of our society.
