He was toast as soon as ENIC took over. They wanted a popular manager to get fans on board, so went for Hoddle in the summer after they took over.

I’d be happy if the Lewis kids just took a big, Atlantic Ocean sized step back, appointed competent football people to run the club and just signed the cheques when required.
However, ENIC do not exactly have a great track record when it comes to the appointing competent football people part.

The problem is the alternative to ENIC is either Oil Money or a Hedge Fund/Consortium.
For me, if you’ve ever been critical of how Man City and (historically) Ch£l$€a have hoovered up trophies, but welcome Oil Money owners at Spurs, just because it’s not ENIC, you are a hypocrite.

If it’s to save face for making yet another bad appointment, and they value that more than the now very real possibility of relegation, then they have to go too. All of them.

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a Spurs manger sacked in my 53 years until now. Not even Jose or Conte, as I knew that they’d throw their toys out of the pram at some point and the board would act.
Looking at the current situation, I’m at a loss as to why they haven’t done the right thing sooner.

Update…we are in a relegation battle at the start of February
Looking at the fixtures, I will not be surprised if we are in the middle of a relegation battle by the end of February. Regardless of any change.
