Finally!
February 11, 2026 at 9:58 AM
That is assuming that we’ll actually finish in the top 8 in the Championship. Which after recent performances I wouldn’t bet on.

He was toast as soon as ENIC took over. They wanted a popular manager to get fans on board, so went for Hoddle in the summer after they took over.
February 11, 2026 at 8:57 AM
I’d be happy if the Lewis kids just took a big, Atlantic Ocean sized step back, appointed competent football people to run the club and just signed the cheques when required.

However, ENIC do not exactly have a great track record when it comes to the appointing competent football people part.
February 11, 2026 at 8:53 AM
Similarly if you’ve accused ENIC of being more interested in the bottom line, brand value and return on their investment, rather than investing in the team, then you really don’t understand how a Hedge Fund works.
February 11, 2026 at 8:53 AM
The problem is the alternative to ENIC is either Oil Money or a Hedge Fund/Consortium.

For me, if you’ve ever been critical of how Man City and (historically) Ch£l$€a have hoovered up trophies, but welcome Oil Money owners at Spurs, just because it’s not ENIC, you are a hypocrite.

If it’s to save face for making yet another bad appointment, and they value that more than the now very real possibility of relegation, then they have to go too. All of them.
February 11, 2026 at 8:30 AM
I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a Spurs manger sacked in my 53 years until now. Not even Jose or Conte, as I knew that they’d throw their toys out of the pram at some point and the board would act.

Looking at the current situation, I’m at a loss as to why they haven’t done the right thing sooner.

It took me a minute, but my word that’s good.

We got about £127m in prize money from the PL alone last season.

Winning the championship gets you about £11m plus TV money.

Bizarrely winning the playoffs can net you more as you get the gate, TV and prize money from the extra games. Roughly about £15m in total
February 11, 2026 at 7:44 AM
You do know that you can do all of that with some clothes on, right?

Meanwhile, in a expensive beachfront property in Sandbanks:

‘Hi Johann…hmm…ok…Just to the end of the season? Right…let me see if Joe’s up for it. If he is, I’ll be at Hotspur Way by lunchtime’

I swear, if they sack Frank and bring in De Zerbi, I will not be putting away the pitch forks and flaming torches.
February 11, 2026 at 7:18 AM
Has he gone yet?

February 11, 2026 at 6:04 AM
Surely, he has to go after that? I can’t see how they can justify keeping him on.

The only reason must be the lack of a willing and available permanent replacement. Our situation is not one where an interim could see us through to the end of the season.

Update…we are in a relegation battle at the start of February
Looking at the fixtures, I will not be surprised if we are in the middle of a relegation battle by the end of February. Regardless of any change.

Hopefully, not for too much longer

A win will just prolong the inevitable.

I was happy to give him the benefit of the doubt when he was appointed, but it became clear quickly that this was Nuno 2.0 and they should have done the decent thing and got rid.

Lack of available and willing candidates may be keeping him a job
February 10, 2026 at 8:36 PM
If we don’t get anything out of this game, and he’s still in a job by the time I get home, we riot.
February 10, 2026 at 8:32 PM
Sarr, mainly because of that silly yellow which means he can’t put in any meaningful tackles in the 2nd half.
