Similar to the lend-lease during WWII, I guess we're seeing the US help the Kremlin avoid humiliating defeat. Back then it was through equipment, now it's through weak men like Trump.

Smart political move by Ukraine.

Last night they struck Moscow with a large number of IWA attack drones.

Today they agree to a ceasefire with the U.S. and get intel sharing and aid switch back on.

Ukraine has supplied the U.S. with extensive intelligence and vast amounts of data on Russian technology, captured equipment, battlefield operational guides, weapon performance, and countermeasures against US provided systems. A shame no one seems to remembers or appreciates it

Finnish sauna diplomacy!
Finnish President just told Zelensky and Trump to "go to the sauna". He suggested they take a deep breath, have a cold bath, visit a sauna, and then return to the negotiating table.

My question to Americans: How does it feel to be on the same side as Russia and North Korea at the UN? Does it feel like you're heading in the right direction?

There’s a bad conspiracy theory going around that Bob Woodward claims in his book ‘War’ that the AFU allowed 30,000 Russian troops to quietly withdraw from Kherson due to US pressure on Kiyv. It’s false on all counts. 1/

Mother of threads on the Russo-Ukrainian war.
A long thread on the war and the current situation. Although the worst-case scenarios didn’t materialize in 2024, it was the most difficult period since spring 2022. There were positive developments, and bright spots, but the current trajectory is negative. 1/

I'm curios how this will affect the mood in Russian military circles. I hope the dominos start falling towards Kremlin.
The collapse of the Assad regime has left Russians all over stranded. Russian military bloggers say that at this moment Russians are surrounded at several positions, such as Homs and Palmyra, but the situation at their primary bases in Latakia and Tartus as well as in the Syrian capital is chaotic.

Given this week’s events Assad's regime is finished & it’s a race to Damascus. The Russian position in Syria, and MENA region writ large is consequently in deep trouble, because of Syria’s importance as a logistics hub for Russian operations. Short thread. 1/
