Cats, records and old vidya games.

London, Glasgow then London again.
Always great to get hit with a £50 import charge when you’re finally about to receive a massively delayed console you pre-ordered.

Imagine if you met someone irl who kept talking like people do on here, throwing under the bus, kept the receipts, lives rent-free etc, you'd quite rightly punch them in the face

One of our cats likes to slouch. Just sits about like this with his legs spread out.

Maybe it’s selfish and unrealistic but I wish Konami just went all in on a J.League license when they were making great football games in 2019-20.

Just let EA do their thing with the licenses and do something different. Like they do very successfully with Pro Yakyuu Spirits.
It's so disappointing there is no proper way to play J.League in a current football game.

Surely they must know the product is being badly handled but not having it in EAFC, the only current football game with a proper single player mode.

I think it’s telling that rather than funding a world that allows more people to be able to make art, the goal of the tech overlords is to plagiarize the history of the arts to get rid of human makers and technique while concentrating more wealth into the hands of a few. I don’t know how that’s good

One of the all-time greats for THFC. The European trophy last season cemented his legacy, on top of all his individual achievements. Absolute hero, love him to bits. The last of Poch’s team to go. Good luck Sonny.

Pre-ordered the Analogue 3D on a whim a while back. Debacle so far in all honesty - series of delays with little to no explanation.

Now Amazon have cancelled my pre-order for the controller as it is ‘not going to be released’, only to recommend I put in a pre-order for the exact same one instead??

Chuffed that Orbital decided to reissue their older albums. Only ever had them on CD back when they were released. Discogs prices for the OG presses are obscene, so this makes me very happy.

Revenue at Duolingo in 2024 was up 41% on 23 to $748M. Net income was up by 451% for same period and yet they're firing workers. We've long been at "insatiable greed" point of late stage capitalism. People may feel helpless but there's a very easy way to kick companies like this. Delete their apps.
I have completely deleted my Duolingo. I was informed by one of my kids that the company has removed most of its employees and 70% of the company is run by AI.

I urge everyone to delete their app.

Big push where I work to find out how we can ‘use AI to make our lives easier’. Stories like this are all I think about every time it comes up. As workers we are being asked to find out how we can make ourselves redundant.
