I wish I could repost this more than once.
As with so many things - if white ppl had listened to and (this is the crucial part) believed BIPOC experiences of oppression, none of the current state of affairs would be a surprise. More importantly, had white ppl refused to enact or enable that oppression we'd all be safer.

Can confirm, having gone through the process recently myself. Folks, if you don’t know much about these processes, seriously, get to know and talk to someone who is experiencing it. It’s incredibly frustrating to listen to conversations by folks who have no idea what it entails.

If we lived in a world that was half just, this would be the official leader of the Democratic Party.
@aoc.bsky.social: "Listen, if your representative is not doing a town hall, give me a ring... I'll say it right here, right now: if a deep red Republican district wants to have an honest conversation, even if it's with someone they disagree with, I'm willing to do that."

BREAKING: In response to our lawsuit, the National Endowment for the Arts will no longer force grant applicants to certify that they won't promote "gender ideology."

This is a big step toward defeating the NEA's unconstitutional censorship.

This is it, right here. They have always hated us, and your compliance only increases their contempt for you.
A key takeaway from Columbia should be that compliance does not buy safety. Unis are viewing the admin's attack on higher ed as a prisoner's dilemma (best strategy: comply), leading to a collectively worse outcome. The only way out is collective action, & unlike true PD, unis can coordinate action.

While some Dems like Newsom abandon trans people, these reps show the power of representation.

A friend included this anti-acknowledgement section on her PhD thesis. She also added the proposition: “Systematic bullying and undermining of girls and women in STEM starts early on and is the reason why they do not stay in science and related fields.”
Absurd we still need to go through this

You know what I think the worst part of this might be??? That the “fighters” we’re supposed to “choose” from in this headass meme are largely WOC who the party doesn’t ACTUALLY BACK UP in any fights. AOC is in a unique position as resented token for the party’s left AND WOC and that’s it.
