“This is way better than talking to a person. I don’t really feel comfortable talking about personal stuff to other people.” The program offered therapy without the risk of human intimacy…But they’ve missed the point; the fear of being judged is signal, not noise…

If you never experience a fear of being judged only to then feel accepted and understood, there is no way to heal from that fear. You can avoid it, yes. But therapy is about healing, not hiding.

Sleepwalking Towards Artificial Intimacy: How Psychotherapy Is Failing The Future
A future of "artificial intimacy" (the other AI) will only come about if we expect less from each other and more from machines. And psychotherapy has been helping pave the way for such a future.

The alternative to naloxone (Narcan) for a fentanyl overdose outside a healthcare facility - where almost all of them in this country occur - is death. Dead people don’t recover. Fentanyl overdose is the leading cause of death for Americans 18-44. Every single fentanyl overdose death is preventable.
There are few things as cost effective as Narcan, especially in a country where (entirely preventable) opioid overdoses have been a leading cause of death for years. For every 6 kits distributed 1 OD is prevented. The $56M in this grant trained >66K people and distributed >282,500 kits in 2024 alone

Despite overcoming heroin addiction himself, RFK Jr. is backing plans to cut a critical Narcan program that helped reduce overdose deaths.

A government of and by a few at the top, who exercise power for their own benefit. Their power and wealth increase as they make laws that favor themselves, manipulate financial markets, and create monopolies that put more wealth into their pockets.

It’s a recalibration of economic control.

Oligarchs don’t live paycheck to paycheck. They have the capital to buy market dips and recoup faster, acquiring more assets at fire sale prices along the way.

When the dust finally settles, they will own more.

The rest of us will own less. A lot less.

45% said they were able to avoid debt, while another 31% reduced their debt. At one point roughly 94% of recipients said they used the money to manage an emergency.
