The. Crimean population voted to be part of Russia
Lol what?

Regardless, it's de facto occupied by Russia, so obviously Ukraine is fighting so that one day they may kick the occupiers out.

If you check the facts Crimea is an Independent Republic although Ukraine claims to own it
Multiple Ukrainian drones have hit an oil refinery in occupied Crimea.

“Brexit was a waste of money that, now more than ever, we simply cannot afford.”

The political refusal to admit how badly they screwed us over with Brexit keeps us trapped in inevitable, snowballing failure. We can’t let them dodge this reality forever.

Unsurprisingly the details of the USA proposed Ukrainian peace settlement are much worse for Ukraine than the Minsk 2 agreement of 2015

A country ravaged & 1 million + casualties when political elites abandon diplomacy for war - the depressingly predictable result
@antongerashchenko.bsky.social #Ukraine had a much better deal from #Russia but #USA's #Victoria_Nuland & they bribed #ZelenskyyUa as #ApartheidIsrael's agent to continue the war so that it could sell more arms to #gullible #Europeans to transfer them to #Ukraine & ssacrifice so many #Ukrainians

It’s as if key European leaders don’t want peace in Ukraine. Yes the simple answer would be for Russia to leave but that wouldn’t solve the situation for Ukrainian citizens in some states who consider themselves Russian & get abused by the government. & Crimea is an independent Republic not owned

Brexit & the changing social climate also played a role. Even those who had emigrated decades ago felt vindicated, noting a sharp decline in public attitudes, rising racism, & a volatile political landscape that made returning increasingly unappealing
