Beautiful sunset tonight in #Tucson. Feeling blessed to witness it and record it. Thanks to the dust particles for contributing to the Rayleigh scattering and the brilliant orange and red highlights from the spectrum. “Once you have tasted the taste of the sky, you will forever look up” L DaVinci

After 3 surgeries, a blood clot, infection & being hospitalized for over a week, the moment I was discharged I rushed to the airport so I could get on a plane to DC & vote NO on Republicans’ disastrous budget plan.
Rep. Pettersen traveled from Colorado with her newborn son so she could vote NO. 🧵

We are probably the first country to be asked to pay reparations for being invaded. It would be funny if it weren't so tragic.

Way to go, Friendship! 🩵
Very, very happy to see this message from Friendship Animal Hospital. Screenshots of the email that came just now. Tl:dr they are waving emergency exam fees for pets of laid off federal workers at federal contractors starting tomorrow. DC friends, please share with those who might benefit from this.

How do we maintain common decency when monsters are in charge?

Part of the way to do this, I believe, is to celebrate integrity wherever we find it — like the actions of Danielle Sassoon. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/surviving-in-a-time-of-monsters

No, NYT, it’s the very definition of ethnic cleansing under international law. No need for weasel wording. Look it up.

Awesome Moon Halo tonight. The moon's halo (or lunar halo) is a large bright ring visible around the moon. This beautiful phenomena around the moon is a result of the refraction of moonlight through ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. #EnabledbyOptics

Just so you know, one plastic straw takes 200 to 500 years to decompose. Americans use an average of 500 million straws daily, contributing to 8M+ tons of plastic entering the oceans each year. Plastic straws are also a major threat to sea turtles among other marine life.
