I want to participate in and learn from the community meeting from 6:30 to 8 tonight but I also don’t want to leave my house and I want to be able to cook and eat dinner at a reasonable time.

It’s about protected bike lanes on Kansas Ave, which I’ve been lobbying for for years. #bikedc

I hate bad recipe writing. Is 8oz carrots a volume or a weight and how many actual carrots is that?

We know that rats have chewed up wiring on cars. Now I know that mice eat the buttons off bike computers.

There was another incident tonight where a Homeland Security agent shot at someone in D.C., the second such shooting in a month. For context, MPD has had five officer-involved shootings in the *entire year* thus far.

Among the things my teen kid does that makes me proud is his sense of freedom to travel around DC. He gets so much confidence and joy from those outings, similar to how I'd spend hours lost in pastures and the creeks where I grew up.

NEWS: The D.C. Council has approved a three-month extension of the expanded juvenile curfew that was in place during the summer. It applies to more kids and lets MPD designate temporary areas where the curfew is 8 p.m. (Standard curfew time is 11 p.m.)
