Dozens of CDC Health Databases Have Gone Dark Under Trump: ‘The Consequences Will Be Dire’
Nearly half of routinely-updated CDC databases have experienced delays or shutdowns in 2025, with vaccination-related systems disproportionately affected, according to a new study.

@radleybalko.bsky.social’s final point in this clip (about average citizens’ response being heartening while elite institutions bent to pressure) is spot on. Multibillion-dollar endowments apparently aren’t enough to buy the spine that huge numbers of regular folks have no difficulty showing daily.
Jon, @radleybalko.bsky.social, and @josephcox.bsky.social are discussing the latest news from Minnesota and who’s really to blame for ICE policy on an all-new podcast, out tomorrow.

If you can find 15 minutes today, please read this piece by @adamserwer.bsky.social in @theatlantic.com. This is one of the best, most human accounts on the rising authoritarianism in the US, and even more importantly, the steely resistance rising up against it in Minnesota.

Breathtakingly good.
Minnesota Proved MAGA Wrong

Pro tip for any Hill journos, the Speaker can approve 24hr protection for Members who are under heightened threat. Omar used to have this, but Mike Johnson took it away. You should ask him about that

Something important to understand about ICE thugs in the Twin Cities is that they're harassing innocent kids and parents at bus stops and schools every single day. Even after the Pretti shooting. It's terrorism.

The testing ground for Bovino’s Operation At Large was Los Angeles. A California judge initially prohibited ICE/CBP’s most flagrant constitutional violations. SCOTUS overruled her 6–3, handing Bovino a blank check to inflict unspeakable brutality on Chicago and Minneapolis. The 6 bear so much blame.
BREAKING Greg Bovino has been removed as Border Patrol "commander at large" and will return to El Centro Calif, where he is expected to retire soon. A stunning turnaround after Pretti killing. Bovino's traveling blue city crackdown is over www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting
