Dragon trapped in a human body.

Remember: On bluesky, we don't argue with them. We block them.
So disappointing

Huh well it turns out I heard from a few federal workers about this and well

"We civil servants organized to help our colleagues face the hardship of the shutdown, we put up with the pain and our only request was to not be betrayed like this. Trade our pain, make it count."

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

My favorite science joke:

Q:What did Watson and Crick discover?
A: Rosalind Franklin's work
James Watson, who co-discovered the structure of DNA, has died at age 97
James Watson, who co-discovered the structure of DNA has died at age 97. He was a scientific superstar until he made racist remarks that made him an outcast.

This was a big day for me, four years ago today.

I FINALLY stopped tolerating absolutely intolerable behavior.

Do it, y'all. If someone is treating you wrong, so putting up with it. My life improved immediately.

It should be noted that since the chair of the fcc called for Kimmel to be silenced, this is an ACTUAL violation of the first amendment

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

I canceled Disney last night
Andor, a Disney+ show about resisting fascism, just won 5 Emmys. Three days later, the network caved to it.

*“When I hear not just our current president, but his aides, who have a history of calling political opponents ‘vermin,’ enemies who need to be ‘targeted,’ that speaks to a broader problem that we have right now, and something that we’re going to have to grapple with—all of us," president Obama.

My husband had a mild case of Covid, following which he has spent almost 4 years mostly flat on his back. This advice fills me with rage & horror.
Overheard someone saying their doctor told them to skip the Covid vaccine this year since it’s so mild.

If your doctor says that, you should probably get a different doctor.

I have several friends down with it right now… and it sure as hell doesn’t sound mild and irrelevant to me.
