The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Manfred being in clubhouses to push the owners' collective bargaining case always seemed problematic to me, even if it was not illegal. But him being in clubhouses to push the owners' collective bargaining case and having his flunky make death threats to union members seems over the line, ya know?
These new details from last summer's confrontation between Rob Manfred and Bryce Harper are absolutely insane.
MLB officials threatening players will "end up in a ditch" for disrespecting Manfred is outrageous behavior.

At least CA VOTED for this …
Texas redrew their maps based on nothing but Trump telling Abbott to do it.
But tell me again about how voting = rigged but obeying the whims of a tyrant is somehow legit.

Guess which country just *happens* to have the most oil reserves of any country in the world?
The media is about to blitz us with stories about how awful Maduro is and I want you to remember that even if they're all true, they are being issued solely for the purpose of manufacturing consent for invading Venezuela and killing innocent people.
