The rescission bill has passed the Senate. Once it passes the House, as expected, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting's budget will be zeroed out for the first time since 1967, back when TV stations still broadcast in black and white.

2. With the GOP controlling Congress, courts are key to protecting democracy.
3. So far, courts are doing a good job on #2.
4. GOP will next attack election rules like they did in 2021.

I have to admit I’ve been a bit off since the election… maybe a little stunned into silence that so many couldn’t vote for a woman or didn’t bother to vote at all… or that so many want the chaos they know will come with their choice. I’ll have to speak out so my silence doesn’t feel like compliance.
