It's not just that they're going to strike down a law against conversion therapy, it's that they're going to do it on behalf of made-up claims from a straw plaintiff who can't honestly show the law affected her at all

The thing I respect about Greta Thunberg is that she understands most people in the Western world don’t give a shit about atrocities until someone white is affected.

Some people have been provided for and protected by The System their whole lives, so even when it obviously has turned against them they still foolishly believe it will reward them when they obey it, like it did in the past.
Not remotely an original observation but I’m continually struck by how a major reason why marginalized people are so much better equipped to meet this moment than most white mainstream liberals is that we aren’t deathly afraid of political disorder given that it’s a feature of our lives

I'm going to be honest, I don't feel we are particularly in danger for being Pagan, even now.
Anyone who is politically at odds with the regime, or who is non-Christian for any reason, or who is queer, is at risk more-or-less.
Those factors would apply to us whether we were Pagan or not.
