I have two dogs. Both of them want scritchies. So that's mostly what I do these days.

Oh, and if you want to talk about sobriety, send me a DM.
This isn't healthy. Bye.

If I can help, reach out. We will get through this together.
Sincere posting for a minute:

If you have been trying to get or stay sober: stay. Sober. Today. Picking up will not help. DM or reply to me if you feel like picking up and I will be here for you. One day at a time.

If you are a normie: do that drink, do that drug, it's airport rules, bayBEE

I’m cool I’m fine I’m just imagining Pierre Escargot frantically refreshing the Polymarket app from his bathtub.
However stressed you are today you're probably not as stressed as the Polymarket French whale who as $30 million riding on Trump.

I love everything about this story: Tony Hawk posted a ‘70s era image of a Black girl skateboarding in the rain. Jeremy Markovich tracked her down.

Tony Hawk wanted to track down a mysterious skateboarder from 1979. We found her.
A photographer snapped a shot of Shaunda Shane skating down her street in Fayetteville when she was 10. How did the world's most famous skateboarder see that picture 45 years later?

Heterodox thinkers are anything but. They've always been in lockstep with one another and always will be, unthinking zombies all of them.
The trouble with making “heterodox” part of your identity is that it very easily slides into a kind of adolescent rejection of whatever the mainstream view is, even when the view is mainstream because, boringly, it’s so clearly correct.
Fascinating. But this is the path most “heterodox” thinkers take. Their hatred of the left ultimately displaces and distorts whatever allegiance they had to liberalism.

The idea that Harris poses a proportionate threat as Trump on on speech, democracy, etc. just isn’t serious.

Nobody should be posting, "My polling place is so busy!" without also adding where they're located and also a vote-intention breakdown of every single person they were in line with.

As @atticusgf.bsky.social was saying earlier today, either everything we know about candidates and campaigns is wrong, or we're not ready for what might happen tomorrow night.

okay, time for a prompt post to distract us all from the horrors. quote this post with your areas of expertise, interest, hyperfixation and/or obsession and invite your audience to ask you questions about them.

I feel compelled to note the difference between Harris voters feeling devastated because they are afraid of things that are real and likely to happen, and Trump voters feeling devastated because they are afraid of things that aren't real or likely.
