If you’re continuously stunned by the behavior of gerrymandered GOP representatives in the world of Citizens United, don’t be.

Here’s how to think of them:

They are no longer public servants.

Improving public outcomes is not their goal. Nor do they do better in life…

Every accusation by those calling for return to masculinity is a confession they are not.
Important study finding that it's not hyper-masculine men who embrace Christian nationalism; it's men who see themselves as more feminine. Why? Because Christian nationalism (and extremist politics) are likely compensatory mechanisms for men insecure in their own masculinity. doi.org/10.1093/socr...

This is a fruit of Christian Nationalism & policy lust.

Lila's CN vote, driven by her policy lust to "end" abortion made her hold the hand of a felon, rapist, and self-confessed molester. Her choice now makes her complicit, also, in Tate's evil.

CN and policy lust ... not even once.

Eugenics James more concerned about fixing Daylight Savings Time than stopping the deaths from starvation, AIDS mitigation and more via the unlawful pocket veto of Rubio’s policy of sending USAID where critically important.

Just for kicks, I built a simple web scraper to pull the data on doge.gov/savings so I could tally the numbers provided. DOGE currently claims they've saved about $55B. But if you add the rows up, it's more like $7B.

Unless they're hiding data re: $48B, this is sloppy work on their part.

The heartbreak.

Trump claims USAID is bankrupting America—it’s less than 1% of the budget. Meanwhile, the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, is gutting the largest food aid provider. He could end world hunger & still be the richest man alive. But he won’t.

Not just greed. We’re watching evil at work.

Sadly, and angrily, unsurprising…
So... after years of trailing out hollow words, impotent task forces & phony dog-n-pony shows of purported reform, the Southern Baptist Convention's top CEO straight up says that a database of clergy sex abusers "is not a focus for us."

Priority stays same: protecting the institution. #ThisistheSBC
At SBC Executive Committee press conference, @bmietana.bsky.social asks about the clergy-abuser database: "Will there be any names on that...or is that really a dead option?"

Jeff Iorg (top SBC CEO): "It's not a focus for us at this point."

Elon musk is the richest man in the world, he could be funding hospitals, medical research and universities. He could be solving the climate crisis. He could be feeding, hungry children. Instead, he’s trying to make sure that your grandmother doesn’t get an extra dollar of Social Security.

Not only did Trump start this whole TikTok ban thing when he was president, but it was his Supreme Court who saw it through. Now he’s pretending to be its savior and his followers are buying it hook, line, and sinker. Genuinely, how are Americans so forgetful?
