Dangerous, illegal and counterproductive.

He’s dragging us into another war—

With no regard for our troops, international law and the destabilizing impact to the region.

Congress must rein in this President before it’s too late.

Neguse: This is one of the most shameful episodes in my view in the modern history of the congress. The decision that Speaker Johnson made to recess the house for 54 days, to send Republican members home on paid vacation for eight weeks, is disgraceful.

The wing strategy of Brexit.
I wonder if the United States can learn anything from the last time a major industrialized country decided to isolate itself from the rest of the world?

Almost a decade after the Brexit vote, GDP in the UK is around 6-8% lower relative to peer countries. (Source: www.nber.org/papers/w34459)

Beyond policy considerations and electoral politics, Tuesday provided a lot of people with a brief spark of hope that maybe our democracy is not already dead, and Democrats immediately capitulating to anti-democracy forces for no discernible benefit is a great way to extinguish that spark.

I’m tired of every election being the most important election of my life only to be stabbed in the back by the democrats who seem to think the senate is an institution that still functions. You won’t fight for Americans, but you’ll fight for American Airlines

As it turns out Democrats caved not to help Americans with food security, healthcare, or for democracy, but to help American Airlines

This and the airline industry lobbyists are what did it. Not Americans starving and paying twice as much for healthcare.

More than 2,800 flights were canceled Sunday, while Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy said the shutdown’s impact on airports is “only going to get worse.”

The leader of the opposition party is supposed to ensure that the opposition speaks with a unified message.

Chuck Schumer failed yet again at that. Why is he still in his role?

After everything, Senate Democrats still haven’t figured out that surrendering to Trump Republicans will end badly? Unbelievable.

Democrats won't create the lasting change or tap into the rage of the majority with Schumer and Jeffries in the lead. Centrists won't get it done, no matter how the establishment wills it. The country has radically shifted. The last 10 years is your evidence.

Instead, he argues, they're making a mistake by giving in:

To repeat: I have studied a lot of cases of autocratization over the past 15 years. Wrote about them, taught about them, consulting about them.

I do not recall an opposition so apathetic, ignorant, and inept as the @democrats.org. They cling to their power, rather than fight for democracy. Shame.

They’re not cowardly.
They’re complicit.

Assuming they’re cowardly gives them the benefit of the doubt of being in opposition.

Institutional Democrats have definitely made a strategic decision that those constituents most engaged in politics don't count. Unless it comes to fundraising.

Much like 2024, Democrats seem to think there’s a binary choice in the 2026 election between voting for Republicans (evil) and voting for Democrats (feckless).

They rarely acknowledge the third option which inevitably harms them the most: staying home.
November 10, 2025 at 4:12 AM
Dear @democrats.senate.gov capitulation isn’t negotiation, it’s surrender. You got nothing. Republicans have been trying to kill the ACA since it passed , they are willing to deny healthcare to millions and starve children, but you just told them that’s okay. Tired of being stabbed in the back
November 10, 2025 at 3:43 AM
What a stupid statement given republicans refused to negotiate in the first place. Republicans cut Medicaid, Cut SNAP, and have tried to kill the ACA since it was passed. They passed the big ugly bill with a FU to democrats. The democrats don’t grasp the moment we are in.

Not ICE. Border Patrol. They’re wearing Border Patrol uniforms with clear Border Patrol patches on them.

There are many videos of ICE officers doing outrageous stuff but a lot of the absolute worst videos are of Border Patrol, who are basically Bovino and Miller’s most aggressive tool right now.
ICE agents in Chicago violently detain a non verbal autistic man for being “non compliant”

He couldn’t “comply” because of his disability…they don’t care

This is not the first time they’ve gone after a disabled person

They target the most vulnerable because it’s an easy way to meet their quota

When I read the full transcript of the interview, I realized there had been no pushback, no corrections, no challenging follow-ups. The entire interview had been an open-ended opportunity for Trump to tell rambling lies, only to have them cleaned up into a more polished product.

The worst part of the terrible interview @60minutes.bsky.social was the reality that it was heavily edited, he was given final approval of the edits and they paid off his lawsuit with $16 million for less of an offense when they interviewed Harris. Mike Wallace is spinning in his grave

So CBS settled Trump’s lawsuit where he frivolously sued because they edited Kamala Harris’s interview so it would fit into their air time.

Then CBS does a 73 minute interview of Trump where they made big edits from the version that was broadcast.

They aired 28 of 73 minutes.
