Brexit was sold on empty promises.

We need Britain to get real about Brexit
Budgets in both Britain and Ireland have postponed difficult decisions in a manner that will reduce their room for manoeuvre when the next election looms

Brexit has damaged our economy - it's impossible to deny.

"Even the vast Brexit-backing media struggle these days to find actual positives: those vaunted trade deals outside Europe offer minuscule gains compared with what is lost."

Labour and the country have reached a historic inflection point. For all the talk of Brexit ‘benefits’, the anti-EU ideologues know the tide has turned, says Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee

The Brexit mood music has changed. You can’t wang on about sovereignty and fish any more and expect people to care. Trade deals aren’t massively convincing either. People just don’t want hassle and higher bills. That’s all Brexit actually delivered. We’re very tired of the failure.

You look at the Tories, Reform and the rightwing press after the Brexit reset and you see just how mad they are. Genuinely frothingly insane.
Desperate to insist that their Brexit moronathon is a win. Spitting with rage at their own failure.

I don’t know anyone who still supports Brexit. Friends, colleagues, extended family, literally nobody.

The polls also lean heavily remain/rejoin.

All of that should give you pause given how dominant the pro Brexit line is in the UK media. #pressRegulation

I hear the people saying "Starmer is playing a clever game".

But he isn't. The USA is not a stable ally, and in all likelihood won't be for a generation. It's not just Trump, it's the entire ecosystem that supports him. Trying to maintain "normal" is not clever politics. Building a new normal ...

But they've axed a 10% bonus their staff got for working Sundays to help pay for it.

So now pay will go over 1st April living wage but they won't be any better off.

Meanwhile CEO Ken Murphy's salary?
