Chief Augustine says the jacket is adorned with a medal presented to him for the Order of Canada, along with the King Charles III Coronation Medal, the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Medal and also features a rich representation of his family's story.

Good to hear PM Carney say positive things on #climate, but "meeting Paris targets" really doesn't mean anything.

What we need is a specific commitment for Canada to clarify it's 2030/35 targets, and go (way) further to meet our fair share toward those Paris targets.

A major win for the planet, and for the Greens. Elizabeth May just secured a historic on-the-record promise from PM Mark Carney: Canada will meet our Paris climate targets and our Kunming–Montreal biodiversity goals. We’re not here for talk, we’re here for results.

Saab CEO Micael Johansson told Canadian media in Sweden last week that the company is in talks with Ottawa and Bombardier about assembling the Gripens in Canada, a development that would create thousands of domestic jobs.

Today I hope @mark-carney.bsky.social realizes he cannot ignore the climate, & sees the vitality of speaking to the climate conscious. His decision to back a U.S.-owned LNG project last week not only alienated environmentalists but I'm even seeing some on the far right attack it #CDNpoli #Budget2025

Looking for video from today's Question Period, where Carney answers May's question on climate, causing her to flip her budget vote later today. I want to hear what he actually said. To hold him accountable. Any suggestions?

In very rough numbers, it will take something over 50,000 years for half of the excess CO2 left in the atmosphere at the time of net zero to be removed from the atmosphere. That's a rough number because modelling the slow process of silicate weathering is tricky, but the general

Have you heard of “The Populist Playbook?”

A few years ago, I posted what I still consider one of my most important messages.

It was about “The Populist Playbook” that I’ve watched play out often over my 33+ years of city planning.

Since then, it’s only gotten worse.

Do the steps sound familiar?

It’s really important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of ACTUAL EVIDENCE that they’re better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced.

Safe bike-lanes mean business.
