all of these people would do well to learn something about “cheap” and “costly” grace. no one is saying that platner is irredeemable, but that some things are a bridge too far for someone seeking a public trust. if he feels truly contrite, he can work on himself and his community and try again.

BREAKING: A few minutes ago, a vehicle of three people was rammed by a truck belonging to federal immigration authorities in Boyle Heights, CA. According to security footage shown to me, they deployed chemical munitions & detained the driver at gunpoint. All are US citizens according to the wife.

Once again I am calling for Democrats to introduce legislation requiring standardized uniforms, visible badge numbers with names, as well as a requirement for ICE and DHS agents to present proof that there is enough danger present to be masked to a judge when they get their warrant.
It really needs to be pointed out. As someone who has been to actions up to and inculdiong the uprising here in 2020 I have never seen every officer wearing fake name badges all with the name “the others” instead of their actual names.

The Government has applied for a stay of orders from the
District Court for the District of Columbia enjoining the
President’s removal of a member of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and a member of the Merit Systems
Protection Board (MSPB), respectively. The President is
prohibited by statute from removing these officers except
for cause, and no qualifying cause was given. See 29
U. S. C. §153(a); 5 U. S. C. §1202(d).
The application for stay presented to THE CHIEF JUSTICE
and by him referred to the Court is granted. Because the
Constitution vests the executive power in the President, see
Art. II, §1, cl. 1, he may remove without cause executive officers who exercise that power on his behalf, subject to narrow exceptions recognized by our precedents, see Seila Law
LLC v. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, 591 U. S.
197, 215−218 (2020). The stay reflects our judgment that
the Government is likely to show that both the NLRB and
MSPB exercise considerable executive power. But we do

The reality of our government is that it's a sprawling and occasionally inefficient system because you can't deliver services to 330 million people without having to deal with edge cases, and to someone who doesn't know the edge cases, that looks like waste or fraud
