this is what i've been saying. swerfs play a MASSIVE role in what's going on here, but so does the "you do fandom in an icky way" discourse. it enables fascists to capitalize by propagandizing their viewpoints as ones that self-proclaimed progressives tend to agree with.
In a lot of ways other leftists chose this path folks. They shrugged and didn’t care when Patreon banned a ton of hypnosis and TF creators, or when YouTube started their ASMR crackdown. Now it’s coming for queer porn creators, more and more. Who will stand up?

I've never actually considered revenants, zombies, or really...any kind of undead for a cyberpunk setting.
But now that you say it. I would be lying if that isn't a VERY interesting concept to play with...

In most cyberpunk / near-future settings, you don't want to deal with a revenant. That usually means somebody with deep pockets made corpse walk around with cyberware.
Maybe the person's mind is intact, but their moral compass is gone. Or maybe it's just a body being piloted.
Either way, run.

Given my mood and mental state, I’d say some revenants are simply ADHD types who were in hyper focus mode at death and kept going as the off switch is no longer there.
