Today is a van Gogh kind of day, so here's my favorite of his self-portraits (1887), on display at the Art Institute of Chicago. Those colors are not pumped up - this was Vincent being very bold, and intentionally responding to Seurat's pointillism in 'A Sunday on La Grande Jatte'. #vanGogh
