I used to make games. Now I’m a stay-at-home-dad. I talk about video games, movies, and skateboarding. (He/Him)

In the first five minutes of Wicked: For Good, Elphaba tre flips her broom over the Yellow Brick Road.

Greatest movie of the 21st century.

I’m playing Ys 1 & 2 on PSP, and I would have gone sicko mode for this game if they had put it on GBA.

I’m not sure if it would have been for me at the time that I had a PSP, but the grind would have been perfect on the bus to school or on breaks at work.

I never really looked twice at the Ys games, but I checked one out since it’s one of the few RPGs on PlayStation Plus.

It’s pretty fun. It’s interesting to learn more about such a long running RPG series and compare it to Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest too.

My daughter saw some of Fast Five the other day and said “Dad! I’m Dom and you’re Brian, ok!?”
NEW EPISODE! "Still a buster." In which Samuel James, Kasai Richardson and Alex discuss living by codes—Dom Toretto style—while trying like heck to unpack the plot (and ideology?) of Fast-ampersand-Furious. Family.

I’m dumb and didn’t think through that volunteering for the PTA playground committee would mean fundraising.

Spent this afternoon hand delivering letters to businesses around town and it is so outside my comfort zone.

But I’m doing it and it’s probably good for my emotional growth 🤷‍♂️

Raising my four year old on 80s pop culture is paying off because she decided she wants to watch Stranger Things, and she was just that Leo meme and saying “those kids like all the things I like!”

I played two seconds of the demo of DK Bananza at Target, and I played the first hour of Clair Obscur but it was too sad.

I can’t remember what other releases from this year I’ve played other than Absolum, but that’s probably how I can’t remember anything farther than two weeks ago.
The Game Awards GOTY nominees leaked:

-Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
-Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
-Donkey Kong Bananza
-Hades II
-Hollow Knight: Silksong
-Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

I think AI discourse from the right is showing how wedge issues are made.

People on the right keep saying the AI debate is on party lines, but lots of people on the left use and argue for AI.

I think the left is more likely to dislike AI, but it’s not actually a left/right issue. Seems fishy.

I gave my teen nephew a book of skateboard photography for his birthday and tucked in $100 bucks as a “bookmark.”

His friend clocked the cash and said “damn, I need to start reading!”

If your primary news source is Facebook clickbait (and it often is!) you are currently under the impression that the creator of Mario has died.

Also worth mentioning that PaxU is the first time you'll be able to buy Griot Anthology, a collection of awesome work by black TTRPG designers and artists. We'll be at booth 3850, come check it out!

AI stresses me out and I have big opinions, but it comes up so casually in normal real life conversations now that lecturing everyone who says they “ChatGPT’d” something would make me so annoying so fast.

It’s like a new version of “you know smoking will kill you, right?”

Facebook tells me someone in my town is selling a 47 inch 3D tv with a blu ray player, nine 3D movies, and a shit load of glasses for $100 bucks.

That sounds like too good of a deal for a fun little novelty.

Ran a game of Land of Eem for my daughter and her friend. It was super fun. I can’t wait for them to grow into the game more because it was a very fun system.

They loved the game, but four year old attention spans are short. I’m impressed with how well they did.

I tried reading Dungeon Crawler Carl and I hate it fiercely. I would have loved it if I was 20.

Even though people shit on it, I did enjoy Ready Player One. Carl feels like all the worst parts of that book people hated cranked to 11. I’m surprised this is a hit.

I got a tip to take my Vyvanse after breakfast and skip the coffee, and it’s like I was never even taking it the last few weeks.

At the very least, I needed to take it later because it was definitely wearing off at dinner time when I needed it most.
