A 12-year-old girl was hit by a car. It had $19,770 in unpaid tickets.
Victims of traffic violence in D.C. say the city needs to get drivers who rack up tickets off the roads.

A parent shared with me a map made by their 9 year old child (of that intersection) which was sent to the city 2 years ago. "Red X's indicate the locations I have almost been hit by cars" Think about that.

Affirmative action? Integrationist. DEI? Integrationist. Grants to women and minority-owned businesses? Integrationist. There are no victims in a fully integrated society because there are no disparities.
Integration isn’t just a furtherance of desegregation. The latter removed barriers to Black people and other racial minorities entering spaces. Integration is about actively bringing us into spaces, giving us the room to maneuver and function, and seeing us for ourselves.
I’m tired of defending diversity initiatives and pleading for my humanity. Let’s call this movement against DEI and affirmative action and equality what it really is: neo-segregationist. And let’s be clear about what we want instead: Integration. www.damemagazine.com/2024/02/13/t...

Someone I follow posted about a card game a few days ago and now I can’t find it. The cards had words on the four edges and it was green. The game was simple and easy to learn. Ring a bell?

Inspired by the Climate Stripes, here are the Renewable Stripes! They show the change over 10 years in renewables' share of Ireland's electricity generation. A greener shade indicates more renewables.

Tonight was our second Earn-A-Bike graduation ride of the day, with 11 BWorks students at our Forest Park class tonight. It was so cold....yet somehow SO FUN. Team made sure all of the kids' bike lights were fully recharged for a great night ride in the park as the cherry on top of 6 great weeks.1/2

The car-based transportation system only “works” where governments have banned all other ways of getting around. The result is soul-crushing commutes, kids who can’t walk to school, and 40K dead Americans a year. But on the plus side, you can drive your pickup to your choice of Starbucks

I’m enjoying Denver’s version of La Sombrita at the Decatur/Federal station. This station cost millions to build and the westbound platform has no place to sit in the shade.
