Taking poor little Dot to the vet. She’s been a little sneezy since I got her from the rescue despite doxycycline and today when I got home from work she was gasping when I picked her up. Think good thoughts for my rat girl. :(

My favorite rat cozies are from https://www.hudsonshammoks.com though - nice thick double-stitched fleece and heavy grommets for attachment that hold up through lots of washings. This one’s a double, but I have triples and singles and a bonding pouch from them too.

I get a lot of rat cage stuff from Temu and the Dollar Tree - this triple hammock was a cheap Temu find. Not sure how well it’ll hold up in the washer tbh, unlike the good ones I buy from local makers.

Since it’s International Cat Day, have some pictures of Pippin from December 2022 when I first walked into the shelter and saw him. I’d just lost Desire after 18 years a month prior and wasn’t sure I was ready, then a shelter volunteer saw me eyeing this fluffy kitten and put him in my hands.
