Tesla earned $2.3 billion in the United States in 2024.

You'd think it paid a lot in taxes, right?

Well it paid precisely $0 in federal income taxes last year.

You want waste and fraud? Look at what some big corporations and the rich are getting away with.

Way to go Musk. Wow, great way to sell more cars to his strongest demographic; white, rich liberals. I'm guessing a lot of poor, under-educated folk who don't believe in climate change are not going to pick up the slack of buying his cars. Or rich conservatives for that matter.

President Trump's executive order requires government offices to discriminate against transgender people, and attempts to deny the existence of trans people and put the federal government in charge of their gender.
BREAKING: Here is the anti-trans sex/gender executive order. It's extensive, it's bad, and it's often lawless. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

And, do not miss in "d" and "e" below, it even tries to put in the beginnings of a personhood argument, for some reason.

Instead of working to lower costs for everyday Americans, House Republicans are planning to cut $3T from our healthcare to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations.

If they succeed, millions will lose their healthcare, and seniors and working families will see their costs skyrocket.

This argument also applies to food. Biotech companies are driving a narrative that we need to produce more food, but the reality is we harvest more than enough and agribusiness models are content to let people starve for profit and political expediency.
The combined net worth of America's twelve wealthiest people passed $2 trillion last year.

12 people. $2 trillion.

Meanwhile, U.S. homelessness increased 18% in 2024.

Our problem isn’t an issue of resources.

Our problem is ever-expanding wealth inequality.

I mean, yeah. We just watched Pete Hegseth blame DEI for erosion of standards in the military during his interview for a job where his sole qualification is “I’ll shake things up because I have no idea what I’m doing.”
this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...
You Blamed DEI for Hurting Your Career. Now What?
For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.
