This scolding always appears in major news orgs when there is some perceived breach of American class divisions. It's social engineering
It’s so interesting to see these urgent exhortations to reestablish decorum. I have not seen evidence of a “coarsening” of American society. If anything, the opposite: I’ve seen thousands of individuals asserting their humanity and protesting the indignity of the system UHC profits from.

Among my many concerns is that “Easter egg” analysis of film and TV is a “hunt.”
It turns art and popular entertainment into puzzles to be conquered rather than experienced, processed or enjoyed.

The YouTube obsession with identifying (or really, inflicting the identification) of “easter eggs” on movies and TV shows has mauled what’s left of cultural criticism. Half the time, the so-called “easter eggs” are just examples of foreshadowing and narrative depth.

My slightly more nuanced opinion: screenings where people are shouting and gasping at the screen together as a collective audience are great, because it means you’re engaged in the film. Screenings where you act like the theater is your living room means you are not engaged in the movie and suck.
IN THIS HOUSE WE BELIEVE if you make any vocalizations in the movie theater other laughing, gasping, or sighing you are going straight to super hell

Harris barely had any real messaging but the most memorable pts she made were Trump being *too soft* on the border, “world’s most lethal military” & arming Israel no matter what. This idea she lost for listening to too many radical leftists has 0 basis, it’s just to push the party even further right
I also think Democrats should surrender completely to right-wing propaganda.
