There's a real disconnect between the heroic image that industries prop up for marketing purposes and the sad reality of their consumers. Kyoichi Tsuzuki's book "Happy Victims" shows the real lives of people who buy high-end designer clothes. I see a similar issue with guns.

I think the idea that these tech guys are actually good at anything has really started to crumble. They were able to con rich people to make them rich by inventing things we either already had or by making up nonsense that no one needed. These guys deserve to be disempowered and likely jailed.
