A neat little video on why you should walk away when you see MPH on the dashboard of a used car in Europe. And it's not even the worst! They sell flood damaged cars by the thousands, too!

If Bluesky wants monetization, it must go in a different direction than other social networks. We now know that paying *for* posting doesn't work. What's needed is the option to offer a sum for someone to delete their post. Basically

If a parking spot is empty on Black Friday, it never needed to be built in the first place. Today is an opportunity to document the physical footprint of excessive parking requirements while you happen to be out shopping.
Wanna go on a mission today that's beyond just shopping? Take the Black Friday Challenge and change your town! Here's how: originalgreen.org/blog/the-bla...

BABBDI by @leonardlemaitre.bsky.social & @siriuslemaitre.bsky.social is a surprising, atmospheric, free exploration game. I can't remember the last time a game gave me goosebumps this many times. You can't even die in it! And yet... there's a secret sauce to it.

Heavily recommended!

The horse girl ads on Youtube and Steam banning Horses are two sides of the same coin. Thing is, there's no policy that thinks of every way users may be malicious. So you can't have solid, strict policies because then malicious actors will toe the line in a way that you'll still want to ban.

I couldn't find this specific snippet in the gif keyboard but I feel it would be so appropriate in so many contexts. So here it is.

Their safety net is their parents. This will result in more nannyism, which is the preferred and revealed outcome of many a Western voter.
It would honestly be extremely funny to see what happens if America hits EU levels of youth unemployment but without the safety net
GOLDMAN has some tough words about the young college-grad unemployment rate rising to 8.5%. 👀

“.. A further deterioration in employment opportunities .. perhaps reflecting AI and other efficiency-enhancing measures .. could have a disproportionate negative impact on consumer spending ..”

Glimpsed over a classmate's screen in class and wondered what exotic LLM he was prompting. I couldn't for the life of me recognize the UI. Was it a local client? Some corporate AI solution?

Friends... he was reading an article.

Back in the early 2010s, a classmate of mine was visiting London. Smartphones were a thing then already, but he had an old dumbphone. As he walked into a crowd, he suddenly saw his own phone flying towards him.

Anyway, I'm not buying anything fancier than a Samsung Galaxy A-series ever again.

One of the perks of getting older was getting very into @redlettermedia.com They proved to me that talkshows aren't actually bad (it's just that 99.9% of them are painfully unfunny). I'm unironically enjoying @noiselund.bsky.social songs remixed from their show now, too. Like this one:
