So to summarize, according to #maga, any Black, gay or trans person who achieves any position, no matter how degreed or credentialed they are is an unqualified #dei hire. And any white person, however unqualified or even sketchy is inherently qualified when they get a job. Do I have that right?

Kamala Harris got a greater percentage of the white vote in 2024 than Bill Clinton did in 1992, than Obama did in 2012, and than Hillary Clinton did in 2016.
The majority of white voters vote Republican in presidential races and have for decades.

The final piece of advice I would like to give to new folks tonight is that Bluesky will be what you make of it. When I came over from the former Twitter, I resolved to be more kind to others here than I was over there. That choice has made being here so much better. Keep it in mind for yourself.

Random tip: You can throw a couple limes and lemons in the freezer whole, and they'll keep for weeks (even months if you're me) until you need 'em for a recipe.
Then pop in the microwave about 10-12 seconds, or let rest on a counter about half an hour, and you have fresh zest and juice!
