Can absolutely confirm, and i got lots of grants for hecate press!! I bled money and also my own mostly free labour and time!
Keeping my mouth shut mostly but let me tell you from experience that the one thing you can be 100% absolutely certain of as an indie comics publisher is that you are going to bleed money. That's just how it is. You can't act surprised about it. You need to be willing to spend SO MUCH of your own $$

Most ppls answer functionally amounts to “ppl with my same priorities should, and no one else,” which is understandable to feel and I think it cuts thru some of the exhausting moralizing gambits made by some folks in political arguments

I've been sewing thongs and also crop tops, excercising at least twice a week, i went to a wood powered sauna 3 times in the past 4 days, and also i cleaned my house, so you could say im doing pretty alright!
