Disturbing because people use social consensus to support truth judgments. Many people find communities in which their conspiracy views are supported and confirmed by other people. And these stories can provide further support unless they are really clear that one set of claims are false.

More reason to transition away from Substack soon. It seems if you want to report racially offensive or homophobic content it can lead to unwanted stalking or doxxing. Thanks, Substack, for contributing to a hostile environment where BIPOC & queer folx feel unsafe.
