I quit the former Twitter two years ago this week, and I am here to tell you that my online life got a lot better for having left it. In two years I've not been tempted to go back, and I haven't felt any penalty in either career or community for not being there. It's nice to be here and not there.

Listen i know we don't talk politics here but if either Mark Carney comes out against the CFL rule changes publically they will be incredibly popular here.

i want to repeat this: mamdani and spanberger have run similar campaigns tailored to their respective electorates and it is maddening to watch political journalists attempt to create some broad contrast where none exist
the other thing about this is that there is no reason to pit these candidates against each other? each are good fits for their respective electorates and each shows the value of vigorous campaigns focused on the stated material problems of voters.

He’s gotta go. He sucks so bad. Millennials need take over the Democratic Party, and I’m sorry to whoever that offends.

Boomers ruined the “American Dream” for us so we aren’t nostalgic for the good old days when white men ran everything.

We live in reality.
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

If you're upset at the ridiculous overpriced resale market for World Series tickets, remember like many other things it's Doug Ford's fault

I think we can all agree that the Blue Jays beating the Dodgers to win the World Series and then declining a White House visit followed by Trump saying they were never invited and then announcing 200% tariffs on maple syrup is the funniest way for this MLB season to end.

I'd agree with this. Basic math says winning 1.5-0.5 xG puts you at 75-25. Whereas 3.5-2.5 xG would be about 58-42. Huge advantage on the former
You could argue that the way Arsenal are winning now is sustainable.

We’ve seen over 2+ seasons that the defense is this good.

Set piece goals are a repeatable skill, not variance or random chance.

Many stats folk think 1.5-0.5 xG lines are more conducive to winning than 3.5-2.5 every game.
