I never did an intro post so here goes! I'm a #librarian and #archivist in a #TimeLibrary dedicated to research into time and timekeeping. Formerly I was a computer programmer and novelist. Currently doing a master's in #Egyptology. Big on #DoctorWho, #FilmPhotography, and #Esperanto.

I love this story. It cops flak because it has a lot of shouty mask men, but there's so much that's uncanny and otherworldly. If you're going to dock points for anything, it should be the fact that Crayford has spent years thinking he's half blind but has never once bothered to remove his eyepatch.

I wish booksellers wouldn't use labels that leave a horrible gummy residue (or, worse, tear the cover when you try to remove them). There must be a vendor that sells book-safe labels.
For all you kids at home: Goo Gone is magic stuff. Use an eraser to remove residue from covers that can't get wet.
