Trump’s complaint about ‘too many non-working holidays’ is part of a nasty history.

Not only does Juneteenth deserve celebration — there are many more reasons for Americans to have many more days off.

I know there's a lot going on, but the Secretary of Homeland Security declaring that federal troops are in California and Los Angeles to "liberate" the state and city from its duly-elected leaders really is a fourteen-alarm fire.
It's mind-blowing how little attention this extraordinary statement has received. It's briefly mentioned in a couple news articles, but this MSNBC opinion piece is the only extended discussion of it I've seen: www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...

This is your ongoing reminder that anti-migrant (“illegals”) and anti-trans politics (“gender ideology”) are current anchors of several authoritarian governments. People who tolerate, even selectively, such politics are facilitating the rise of fascism. This is why solidarity is key to oppose this.

The Department of Homeland Security is NOT making our country safer.

They're ignoring immigration laws.

They're handcuffing moms, zip tying children and disappearing them without hearings or due process.

They're weaponizing DHS to purge people from the population.

They're hiding their faces.⬇️

BREAKING: We just won on behalf of domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.

A judge ruled that the Trump administration wrongly retaliated against the American Bar Association by canceling their grants to train lawyers who work with survivors.
The Justice Department canceled grants used to train lawyers who work with survivors of domestic violence & sexual assault. So we're suing on behalf of the American Bar Association.

This blatant act of retaliation against @americanbar.org is unconstitutional & we will hold DOJ accountable in court.

-Advocate for non-English speaking crime victims
-Support victims of child abuse, hate crimes, and human trafficking

Devastating.
