As someone who started wearing a fedora at the relatively young age of 21, I approve of this young man's style choices. However, vests/waistcoats are not for me — too restricting. My dad, who was an attorney, enjoyed wearing three-piece suits for work, though. He looked good in them.
Loving today's news that the mysterious "fedora man" outside the Louvre heist was actually a 15-year-old museum visitor who dresses like a 1940s French detective all the time, just because. apnews.com/article/louv...
Fedora man unmasked: Meet the teen behind the Louvre mystery photo
Fifteen-year-old Pedro Elias Garzon Delvaux has become an internet sensation after an Associated Press photo captured him outside the Louvre on the day of a crown jewels heist.

Boooo! Lou needs better lobbyists. Everyone loved Fernando, but the only reasons he made this ballot are because of Fernandomania and he died relatively recently. He’s nowhere close on the JAWS scores, and he’s generally worse statistically than Jack Morris, who is considered a low-tier HOF’er.
Lou Whitaker did not make the ballot for the Baseball Hall of Fame’s Contemporary Era Baseball Committee. The list:
Barry Bonds
Roger Clemens
Carlos Delgado
Jeff Kent
Don Mattingly
Dale Murphy
Gary Sheffield
Fernando Valenzuela
Era includes players whose primary contributions came after 1980.

Nice story about former Tigers outfielder Curtis Pride.

Earlier today I was telling a friend, while I was wearing a Steelers sweatshirt, that the Steelers have had some awful alternate uniforms. I didn't even know that tonight they were going to wear whatever the heck these uniforms are. Blech.

I didn’t know that Chinese naval officers were at D-Day and Dragoon.

This was actually really cool to see on the TV broadcast, even as a Tigers fan. That fan planning ahead just in case he was in the right place at the right time is outstanding. And, if you click into the thread, you’ll see he met Cal Raleigh and got a bat from him. What a night for him!

I learned something new today. Count me among those non-New Yorkers who thought that annoying whistle sound was something the Yankees came up with on their own. I think I’ll not look up the commercials, though, at least until after I’ve had a good night’s sleep.
It amuses me to no end that many non-New Yorkers are unaware that obnoxious whistle sound is part of a local company’s ad jingle and believe it’s something the Yankees invented independently to annoyingly play after strikeouts
Yankees fans eyes rolling completely back and turning black, heads tilting backwards at an impossible angle, and their jaws opening and opening horribly like a shark's as they all emit the PC Richard Whistle Sound as one.

This Wolverine is very happy to have Dillon the Buckeye on the Tigers!
Dillon Dingler grew up in Massillon in a family of Cleveland fans. He has barely been booed here in two weeks, compared to rest of Tigers, but he just quieted the home crowd with a go-ahead home run over LF wall. 2-1 Tigers on first Dingler Dinger since Sept. 11, and his first in Cleveland.
