I dunno, you spend 40-odd years longing for the collapse and dissolution of the Conservative Party, then it begins and you’re stuck in a woodland cabin at a bizarre Dutch theme park without access to popcorn.

It’s Wayne Hennessy I feel sorry for. If only he’d tried this excuse he’d have been fine.

Gavin and Stacey, then. I’d never watched a full episode, just lots of bits. The special was nice enough, but kind of showed why. A slightly less sneering Mike Leigh piece, with middle class theatre types trying desperately to show what uncultured proles are like, and failing miserably.

If you’re reading - unlikely, I know - apologies to the woman in Sainsbury’s Sydenham just now who was somewhat taken aback by what I had Mommie doing to Santa Claus while singing along to the tannoy.

Golden oldie time: this, from @garybainbridge.bsky.social in 2015 remains as true as ever, but I fear the battle is now more lost than ever. (Apologies for the Reach format unreadability) www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...

It's completely mad that I have 1K followers here after such a short time, a year and a bit. It took several years in the old place. Anyway, I'm interested mainly in what it says in the bio, the politics of those countries as well as Spanish and Catalan literature, and football

Many commentators say that vigilante groups are never the answer. But they clearly don't know about the masked Ecuadorian trio named “Acción Ortográfica Quito,” who roam the streets at night with a singular purpose: to correct all the spelling and grammar mistakes they find in graffiti.

So, then, BBC Sport - about this headline.

Right, well. I left Twitter for a while, then went back for professional reasons, with a personal sideline. I do wonder if I’m over the requirement to have a Twitter-shaped thing in my life. But I’ll be on here a bit more often from now on. Threads is awful.

Hard to believe this was only ten or so weeks ago.
Tory pundits yesterday: ‘if Sunak can get flights to Rwanda taking off before the election, that’s a major boost to his chances’
Sunak today: ‘no Rwanda flights before the election’
